AI Film Skills
Two Claude Code skills from the production pipeline behind CROW LINE, an AI-generated action film. These are the trimmed, general-purpose versions of the skills the pipeline runs on. Free to use.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
video-prompt-director | Turns a short scene direction into one rigorous, submit-ready prompt for Seedance 2.5 reference-to-video generation — reference role mapping, staged event script, camera and audio design included. |
character-consistency | Keeps one character identical across every generated shot. Expands a short Character Brief into ultra-detailed prompts and builds a three-panel character sheet (bust-up / full body front / full body rear) to ride as an identity reference on everything. |
Download
⬇ Download the ZIP — or use the green Code button at the top of this page and pick Download ZIP. Unzip it anywhere.
With git instead:
git clone https://github.com/nigo-studio/ai-film-skills.git
What you need
- Claude Code — the desktop app or the terminal, either one. You don't need to be a terminal person. The skills are instruction files Claude Code loads, so there is nothing to build and nothing to configure.
- Somewhere to run your generations. The skills write prompts and never call a generation API, so there are no keys to set and no cost inside this repo. Whatever you generate on, you keep generating on — you paste the prompt and you pick the takes.
video-prompt-directorwrites for Seedance 2.5 (reference-to-video).character-consistencyworks with any image model that accepts reference images.
Set up
This repo is a starter kit — open the folder in Claude Code. That's the whole setup.
Desktop app: open the Code tab, start a new session, and pick the unzipped ai-film-skills folder as the project folder. (On Windows, the first launch asks for Git for Windows; install it and restart the app.)
Terminal:
cd ai-film-skills
claude
The skills sit in .claude/skills/ and a CLAUDE.md orients Claude, so both skills trigger automatically in this folder — no configuration needed.
To use the skills inside your own existing project, copy them into that project's .claude/skills/ directory instead:
mkdir -p your-project/.claude/skills
cp -r ai-film-skills/.claude/skills/video-prompt-director ai-film-skills/.claude/skills/character-consistency your-project/.claude/skills/
(Copying them to ~/.claude/skills/ makes them available in every project on your machine.)
Use
Just describe what you want in a Claude Code session; the skills trigger on matching requests. For example:
Write a Seedance 2.5 prompt for this scene: a narrow alley, one body wide. One man takes down three pursuers, front to back. One take.
I want to keep my character consistent across shots. Here's her close-up.
The skills write prompts only — you run the generations wherever you generate, and you pick the takes.
The series
These two are the first drop. The pipeline behind CROW LINE runs eleven stages, and the general-purpose version of each one lands here as it gets trimmed down. Together they add up to the pipeline that makes a film.
| Stage | Skill | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Story | synopsis, three acts, scene list, screenplay | planned |
| Look | the style bible every shot is held against | planned |
| Characters | character-consistency | in this repo |
| Shots | shot list and storyboard | planned |
| Images | shot composites and backgrounds | planned |
| Video | video-prompt-director | in this repo |
| Sound | voice and foley design | planned |
| Assembly | edit guidance — where the cuts fall and in what order. You still cut it yourself. | planned |
No dates — each one ships when it's actually usable outside our own project. To hear about the next drop, click Watch at the top of this page, choose Custom, and tick Releases. GitHub will mail you when a new one lands, and nothing else.
Why this is free
I have been carrying stories in my head since middle school, and for most of that time there was no way for one person to film them. Generative models changed that. I would rather not be the only one holding a working pipeline, so it goes up here as each part becomes usable outside my own project.
If you use it, make something out of your own head — something you actually want to watch. I'd like to see what you come up with.
Notes
- Prompts are tuned for Seedance 2.5 (new generation with reference images). Video editing and extension are out of scope.
- The character sheet method works with any image model that accepts reference images.
- These files are instructions for Claude, not tutorials — open them if you're curious how the sausage is made.
